Grand Portage, MNWe Slept at a $10 Gas Station Campground With Full Hookups
So where do we sleep when our van battery's running low?
It had been cloudy and rainy for a few days, so we found a little gas station campground in Grand Portage, Minnesota, about two miles from the Canadian border. It’s ten dollars a night with full hookup, electric and water. Honestly, it’s the cheapest full hookup spot I’ve ever seen.
There’s no dump station and no views, it’s right next to the gas station on the main road. But that’s all we needed, power and water. Then we cooked a steak dinner in the van.
